Ok First go into your administration panel. Set your settings from simple to advanced. Then go into modules.

In modules the top option is portal. Activate it then go into it.

Then click structure to build your portal

You might wanna then delete all of your widgets and start building your own.

Click custom block to make your own.

Edit the options like i have in this picture:

Now go to http://xat.com/web_gear/?cb and make your own chatbox

Now paste that code into the box and make sure HTML is turned off so it works when u save it. It should look like my box:

Go into personal widgets and drag your newly made box into the widget panel.

Now click save and preview your work.

You can also add other widgets like recent topics and stuff. I think the portal is the best part of the forum, because it displays all the news.
